Two ways to work together. Both come to your child.
Both apply to speech pathology and occupational therapy — same clinicians-come-to-you model, same fees, both charged at the NDIS rate of $193.99 per hour and not a cent over. Standard is what we recommend for most children. Essentials is a lower-touchpoint option for a child with one or two goals. Most families use NDIS or private-health funding — see funding below.
For the child who needs more time to process, has big goals to achieve, or needs extra guidance. Most children have several goals — and most make faster progress here.
- 45–60 minutes of face-to-face therapy, depending on your child's capacity — time to warm up, explore, go deep, and process
- Progress email after every visit — you always know what we did and what to practise
- Travel included — no mileage or travel charges
- At your child's school, home or kindy, or online
- Parent coaching built in
For the child with one or two goals — a few speech sounds to target, occasional check-ins, or tapering off therapy as they finish up.
- 30–40 minutes of face-to-face therapy, depending on your child's capacity — time to focus, learn, and practise
- Progress email after every visit — you always know what we did and what to practise
- Travel included — no mileage or travel charges
- At your child's school, home or kindy, or online
- Parent calls welcome
What you're paying for
Every minute you're billed is a minute spent on your child. That's the face-to-face therapy, plus the planning before it, the note-taking after it, child-specific professional development, conversations with their teacher, and the handover to you after every session.
Travel isn't therapy, so we don't bill it. Getting to your child's school, home or kindy is on us — no mileage, no call-out fee, on either option.
Everything is charged at the NDIS rate of $193.99 per hour and not a cent over, whether or not you're using NDIS funding.
What assessments cost
Assessments are charged at the same NDIS rate of $193.99 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
That covers the whole piece of work rather than just the part you see: the face-to-face assessment, the scoring, and writing your report. We'll give you an estimate of the total on your free call, before you commit to anything.
The Light Unfolding Speech Assessment
A one-off comprehensive assessment with a written report for GP, school and NDIS, a feedback call, and a clear plan — in person in Adelaide, or online Australia-wide. We'll estimate the total and talk through your funding options on your free call.
The Light Unfolding OT Assessment
Fine motor and handwriting, sensory processing, coordination, regulation and daily-living skills — assessed in the places your child actually uses them. You get a plain-English written report for GP, school and NDIS, a feedback call, and a clear plan.
OT sessions use the same Standard and Essentials options above, at the same NDIS rate.
Most Light Unfolding families don't pay out of pocket.
We'll help you understand your options before you commit to anything — no confusing runaround.
NDIS
Self-managed & plan-managed participants welcome — we're an unregistered provider, so we can't take NDIA-managed plans yet. Both speech pathology and occupational therapy usually sit under Improved Daily Living. More for NDIS families →
Medicare
Eligible children may claim rebates through a GP-managed care plan (up to five allied health sessions per year, as prescribed by your GP). Your GP will confirm what your child is entitled to.
Private health
Itemised invoices provided for extras cover. Rebates vary by fund and level.
Self-funded
Published fees, no surprise bills, and the cost confirmed before you book — the same NDIS rate whether or not you have a plan.
